Ramshackle Cutting Boards and Charcuterie Platters

Our cutting board journey…..

Perhaps it’s important to say a few words on how we got started on cutting boards.

It begins, as many stories do with a mother, lovingly feeding her family over many years and a carbon steel chief’s knife.  Many words can be written about this knife and its history but the simple fact is that not long after it came into my kitchen it became very clear that such a knife deserved a cutting board that would at least not diminish the richness of its story.

 

Every board we produce has its roots in that very first one.  The wood for each piece was specifically chosen by culling through piles of raw material to find just the right one to be a cutting board and nothing else.

 

Your Kitchen is one of the most important rooms in your home.  The time you spend there feeding and building the history of your family should be as rich and full of good things as possible.  We believe that a good cutting board that will wear and record that history can only add to that richness.  For that reason we take our board making very seriously.
